Instructions:
- 1/2 medium papaya
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 tbsp condensed milk (optional)
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions:
- Cut the papaya into small pieces.
- Blend with rest of the ingredients.
- Served in a chilled glass over ice.
- Enjoy with ice cream or alone as a delicious dessert.
Roasted Papaya with Brown Sugar
This very simple and sweet dish can be a yummy exotic addition to your BBQ!
Ingredients:
- 2 medium papayas, halved and deseeded
- 2 tbsp light-brown sugar
- 1¼tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 lime in 4 wedges
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450F.
- Stir sugar and ginger in a small bowl.
- Arrange the papaya halves, and put the cut sides up in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the halves.
- Bake the papaya, brushing the edges with melted sugar 2 or 3 times, until the mixture is bubbling, around 35 to 40 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and finish on the grill if you’d like.
- Sprinkle each serving with a pinch of cayenne and serve with lime wedges.
